One Week Feed Your Blood - Fruit Cleanse

While, as a nutritional counselor, I don't put much weight on anecdotal evidence, I have been asked many times for my mom's "cleanse" and since it is a short cleanse with healthy ingredients and some success for those who've tried it, I have no reservations sharing it with you. Keep in mind this is her personal testimony and not medical advice.

The following article was written by my mother, Diane Castellarin, after she cured her acid reflux (which was really causing problems for her) and more importantly for my father who was becoming allergic to more and more foods such as bananas, potatoes, and so on. He could NOT eat any potatoes for months without leg cramps. My father couldn't even have the water from potatoes in a bun without severe night cramps and leg spasms. After one week of this diet, he has been able to eat potatoes ever since. That was over 10 years ago.

ACHIEVE AN ALKALINE BLOOD LEVEL by feeding it.  Lev. 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood…"

By Diane Castellarin

YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK WITH YOUR DR. BEFORE DOING THIS.  Everybody is different. This is instructional ONLY, we make no diagnosis or personal treatment suggestions.  We encourage those whom are making major or abrupt changes in their lifestyle to consult a Doctor as needed!

To read up on this you may want to purchase the book "Back to Eden" by Jethro Kloss.  It may be purchased in health food stores and many bookstores. And the video by Dr. L Day, "You Can't Improve On God" is highly recommended, and it may be purchased from Dr. Day by calling 1-800-574-2437.

Needed before you start: Prayer, Faith, and Healthy lifestyle including plenty of Exercise, Trust in Divine Power, etc. See Health Helpers.   Plenty of: carrots, water, fresh fruit, (frozen fruit and dried fruit acceptable for supplementing…).

Before you start this "0ne Week Feeding your body for an alkaline blood level" you could clean and prepare your body by taking 1 T. fresh lemon juice, if your body tolerates it, and 1 T.  Olive oil. One after the other 2 to 3 times daily for 2 - 3 days prior to starting your week.  It is beneficial to cleanse your system. Start omitting all sugars, fats, meats, cheese, etc. 3 - 5 days prior to starting your week.

We ate only fruit, carrot juice, pineapple, grape or tomato juice and water.  We ate ONLY three meals of fruit per day. Foods grown that have blossoms and seeds, are considered fruits botanically. That would include cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, etc.

We drank a 6-8 oz glass of fresh carrot juice (this would be 2-3 glasses of fresh carrot juice in a day: one between breakfast/lunch and one between lunch/supper and sometimes if we didn't have much fruit juice we would have another 1 hour or more after supper) and a lot of water between meals.  Wayne had 8-10 oz glass of tomato juice ½ hour before meals as he was working and using a lot of energy.  I used pineapple juice as my body tolerated it better than tomato juice, at times in between meals when hungry.  Or once in a while we had PURE red grape juice, NO SUGAR.

Start each day with water: 3 glasses of 8 oz or more as you can tolerate first thing in the morning.  Try to use hot water, hot enough to be able to chug down.  In between meals and after evening meal drink room temperature water.  We usually drink liquid ½ hour before the meal, no liquid with the meal, and start drinking 1 hour after the meal. Try to achieve 3 x 8 oz .at each drinking during this week.  You will need 2-3 liters of water per day.  Juices do not count as water.  And do NOT consume teas or coffees in this week.

Because we consumed so much water we added sea salt in our diet, so we added some to our tomato juice if it was not in it. And we added it to our diced tomatoes and / or cucumbers.

We did have a few meals with canned fruit WITHOUT SUGAR, done in pear juice, such as peaches, pears, and unsweetened pineapple.  Because of the time of year and shortage of a good fresh variety we supplemented with these.

A meal would be one of the following: 4-6 fruits using only 2-3 different fruits or diced tomatoes and cucumbers or Frozen Fruit ice cream.

Meal ideas we used: Pick 2-3 fruits dice them for a fruit salad, or grated apples in a bowl to eat with a spoon, or for ice cream you place small pieces of favorite frozen fruit in food processor and chop until it turns into ice cream.  We always used frozen banana and one other type of fruit one to two of each, so as to have variety.  Cantaloupe freezes well for this too.  Think variety like frozen watermelon, apricots, blueberries, kiwi (one slice of kiwi gives enough minerals for the body), etc. A reason we liked ice cream is that it seems more like a meal to eat with a spoon and in a bowl.  Also it is much healthier to chew your food several times to get lots of saliva with it to help the body process it and by then you would not be swallowing cold food.  The body functions better with body temperature food.

To help have a healthy body we need our bowels moving freely.  We should have evacuation 2-3 x's a day, once for each meal.  Our urine should be almost clear also.

Within a few days of this diet you may feel a little ill, not everyone does. It usually is due to the toxins passing out of your system and the sooner you rid them of your body the better it is for your health.  Keep on this diet and the next day you should feel fine, in fact you SHOULD feel GREAT.  And usually by the second day we were not hungry in between meals.  I would say that would be because your body is being feed nourishment the way it needs it.

The last day going off you may like to have cooked brown rice at lunch with your fruit.  Or you may have cooked brown rice with cooked carrots and peas with 4-8 your favorite nuts.  And the next meal you may add a slice of good hardy brown bread.  Then you will be on your way to a new normal lifestyle…

NOTE:  We ate MOSTLY raw fruit, NO cooked foods, seeds, nuts, or sugars.

Written by Diane Castellarin who had recovery from acid reflux and other issues using this diet.  Her husband Wayne Castellarin also participated in this diet and recovered from severe food allergies and improved his psoriasis.   She had no medical training, this is a personal testimony NOT medial advice!
