Sweet n Sour Vegan "Chicken" Balls

sweet n sour vegan chicken balls

2 cups cooked brown rice (to serve over)
4 cups Golden Nuggets (for gluten free use any vegan gf chicken substitute or soy curls re-hyrdated in broth)

1 cup unbleached flour (or Gluten Free Flour Mix)
1 tsp baking powder
1 pinch salt
1 tsp seaseme oil
1/2 cup water, as needed

3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup white vinegar
2T to 1/4 cup soy sauce or Braggs Aminos
1 Tbsp Ketcup
2 Tbsp corn starch
1/4 cup pineapple juice

Heat 4" of oil in deep fryer or large sauce pan. Combine batter ingredients until they form a smooth, pancake
like batter. Dip nuggets into batter and deep fry until golden. Combine sauce ingredients and cook over medium heat
until thick. Serve balls and sauce with rice.
