A good pizza cheeze or substitute for mozzarella. Gluten free.
3/4 cup water
1 /2 cup raw cashews (or blanched almonds)
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1 pkg silken tofu, extra firm
1 tsp sea salt
1 /4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
2 Tbsp lemon juice, fresh is best
1 tsp onion powder
Rinse cashews well, place in blender with sesame seeds, and cover with water. Blend on high until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend until very smooth. Wse over pasta, lasagna, or pizza.
Yields 3 to 3 1/2 cups
